ENACT European project is coming and meeting companies that are interested in IoT Applications development on the 6th of march 2020.
The ENACT project is a consortium of 12 European partners whose objective is to extend the available DevOps tools (with 10 new tools*) to answer to the IoT applications specificities and constrains.
With the support of Telecom Valley and both Safe and SCS Clusters, ENACT partners are coming to meet companies of southeast of France that are interesting in IoT Systems. This event will take place in SophiaTech Campus at the University Côte d’Azur in Sophia Antipolis.
DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and information-technology operations (Ops) which aims to shorten the systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery with high software quality. DevOps is a popular methodology in the software industry and provides its toolchain. But IoT systems and applications introduce new constrains that require new tools in the DevOps toolchain. Indeed, the heterogeneity of the IoT targets, the automatic deployment of IoT applications, the control of their quality, security and robustness raise new problems, sometimes fundamental, that are not addressed by the market tools.
The mission for providing these missing tools has been assigned to the ENACT Project in the H2020 European framework programme and in particular the European programme for IoT.
ENACT project started about 2 years ago. It has already produced some results and first versions of some of the 10 promised tools. These tools proposed by SINTEF, CNRS, Beawre, Evidian … have already been tested by end-user partners in the field of e-health (TELL.U – Norway), Smart Building (TECNALIA – Spain; ISRAA – Italy), Intelligent Transportation System (Indra, Spain; EDI, BOSC – Latvia). The ENACT partners propose to come and meet companies to introduce these new tools which will be illustrated by concrete manipulations.
